Do the memory upgrades need to be installed in pairs?

A majority of consumer desktop, notebook and netbook computers do not require RAM upgrades to be installed in pairs. Where computers feature Dual or Triple channel technology, installing memory in the recommended configuration (2 or 3 at a time, respectively) will see an additional improvement in performance.

Servers and Workstation computers may have a requirement for memory to be installed in a set configuration, please review the systems service manual or product notes for further information.
